Should I Tip A Junk Guy?

Picture this in your mind, you are in a large room with a pile of junk up to the ceiling. In this junk pile, there is an assortment of garbage, old clothing, animal feces, boxes full of random things, old appliances…you name it, its in the pile! You have to sort, pack, haul, and load everything in this pile within a certain time frame. This is the job of a junk remover.

 

How much work does junk removal require?

Junk removers haul away garbage, furniture, old appliances, construction site waste, tires, food waste, and miscellaneous household items including;  clothing,  mattresses, books, carpets, etc. Oftentimes a junk remover has to sort, organize, and pack items in addition to loading everything up and hauling it away, which takes additional time and effort. Junk removal can be an extremely arduous task.

 

Why should I tip a junk removal guy? 

 At a junk removal site, unexpected set backs may occur, the job may require additional tasks that were unforeseen and therefore not included in the job description, or the job may take a lot longer than expected. For all of these reasons, junk removal requires patience, dedication, perseverance, and very hard work.

 

Tipping is a great way to show appreciation for an exceptional job.

In closing, although tipping is not required or expected when you hire junk removers, it is a great way to show your appreciation for a job well done. If you want to give the junk removers a tip, consider tipping between 15-20% of the total cost of the project.
